It's sparkling clear straight from the tap. The Parkersburg Utility Board released it's annual drinking water report and things look good.
Erik Bumgardner, assistant manager for the board says they test for a multitude of contaminants in the drinking water.
Only items found are listed in the report. Synthetic organic compounds and volatile organic compounds aren't listed because they weren't present.
"The report revealed the water is in pretty good condition, no major areas of concern were identified," Baumgardner says.
He says the water has also been tested on an annual basis for C-8.
They've never had any levels even approach the health limits established by the EPA.
Baumgardner says he's not concerned and at this point, has no problem drinking the water himself or recommending that others can.
