The annual Holiday in the Park lighting display ushered in the festive season at City Park with a rainbow of colors.
Many turned out to get in the spirit.
Mayor Newell was on hand to offer his wishes and the Hamilton Park Middle School Chorus sang Christmas carols from around the world.
"This is the kick off the season, the holiday season, we usually put it up around right before Thanksgiving and it goes through to December 31," says Tina Buchanan, president of the committee for Holiday in the Park. "It's for the community and it's to get them all excited about the season."
As part of the display, you can take a carriage ride around the park and see all the light exhibits.
There are even some new ones this year...
A donkey representing the movie "Shrek," Lightning Mcqueen with Mater from the movie "Cars", a new sailboat, nutcrackers and the new arches joining the old classic favorites.
