Parkersburg Trooper Named Trooper of Year for State of WV

By  |

There are hundreds of West Virginia State Police Troopers.

But one from Parkersburg gets some really special recognition.

Trooper First Class Chris Jackson from the Parkersburg Detachment is named 2013 Trooper of the Year for the state.

He received the award a week ago in Morgantown.

State Police Sgt. James Stout nominated Trooper Jackson.

Sgt. Stout says Trooper Jackson deserves the award for combating the drug problem both locally and regionally and teaming up with other agencies to uphold the law.
