An embezzlement charge lands a Parkersburg woman behind bars.
The criminal complaint says Parkersburg resident Jami Lynn Burdette took vendor checks issued to the Walker Machinery Company totaling well over $1,000. Officials say she then cashed some checks and deposited others into her personal account.
Police say Burdette was working at Walker when she stole the checks.
Burdette was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court Thursday and is out on a $1,000 bond.
