You may have noticed the brick facing that lines cross walks coming off the pavement at the 5th Street and Juliana Street intersection.

Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell says the money for the brick facing was funded through a federal Transportation Enhancement Grant from the Department of Highways.

City Development Director, Ann Conageski, says the contractor on the job has been informed of the issue and the city will not accept the cross walks current condition. The contractor was asked to get in touch with the brick manufacturer and see that the peeling potion is replaced.
