Police Looking For Suspect In Parkersburg Arson


A second house fire on Spring Street, in less than a week.

Police say this one is no accident.

The fire happened Wednesday morning in a vacant house on the corner of Spring and 17th St.

The fire is ruled arson.

Fire officials say the basement was engulfed in flames when they arrived, but they were able to put it out in about ten minutes.

Police say a witness says he saw a man leave the back of the house, and run up 17th Street before the fire.

The man is described as a white male in his late 20's with dark hair and no facial hair

He has an athletic or thin build, between 5' 7" and 6' 0".

He was wearing a blue t-shirt over a white thermal undershirt and blue jeans.
