Post Office May Consolidate Distribution Facilities

The U.S Postal Service is conducting a study at the Customer Service Mail Processing Center in Parkersburg for a possible consolidation into the Clarksburg Processing and Distribution Facility.

According to a press release, the study involves a review of the mail processing and transportation operations to determine capacity needs at a facility in order to increase efficiency and productivity.

U.S. Postal Service District Manager, Darryl Myers, says the Post Office has to reduce the size of it's network because they are no longer receiving the revenue needed to sustain costs.
