UPDATE: Man Pleads Not Guilty to Prostitution Charges

An Athens County man who is a registered sex offender pleads not guilty to compelling prostitution with a teenager.

Bond is set at $50,000 for Fred Kittle.

The 69-year-old faces two counts of compelling prostitution and two counts of importuning.

Investigators say in September Aileen Mays set up sex between Kittle and a 16-year-old in exchange for drugs and money.

Kittle was previously convicted of rape in 1996.

Mays was already sentenced to five years in prison.

An Athens County woman sentenced for prostituting a teenage girl to a sex offender.

Aileen Mays is sentenced in Athens County to five years in prison for compelling prostitution. Also she can not apply for judicial release and will have to register as a sex offender.

In September 2013, the 27-year-old facilitated a 16-year-old girl to have sex with a registered sex offender, Fred Kittle, in exchange for drugs and money. The prosecutor says during the sexual encounter, Mays did enter the kitchen to use the drugs given to her in exchange.

Mays will also serve five years of post release control

An Athens County Grand Jury indicts a woman on prostitution charges.

The grand jury indicted Aileen Mays for four felonies.

Those include three counts of compelling prostitution and one count of trafficking in persons.

Mays is accused of setting up a sixteen year old female to have sex with a registered sex offender for drugs or money.

In connection to Mays, 69-year-old Fred Kittle was arrested September 27th for one count of compelling prostitution.

Kittle posted bond so the case was dismissed without prejudice but remains under investigation.

Mays is being held at the southeastern Ohio Regionial Jail.

Her arraignment is October 16th.

Information about a sixteen year old prostitute leads to two arrests in Athens County.

The Athens County Sheriff's Office says they got information that a sixteen year old was selling sex in exchange for money and drugs.

Deputies arrest 27-year-old Ellen Mays for encouraging the prostitutions. Investigators say she admitted to setting up meetings with the 16-year-old and the 69-year-old man Fred Kittle Senior. They say she also admitted to getting drugs in return for the 16-year-old's acts.

Kittle is also a registered sex offender in Athens County.

Kittle is charged with compelling prostitution and importuning.
Mays is charged with compelling prostitution and trafficking in persons.

Both are in jail.
