March is Red Cross Month.
It's all about raising awareness and making sure people have an opportunity to donate their time, treasure or talent.
Financial Development Director Sharon Kesselring says especially this month, because our response has doubled, or in some counties tripled compared to this time last year.
They are trying to raise $25,000.
That's quite a challenge and they need everyone's support.
"It does not mean that we're fundraising for one specific episode, like a tornado or a disaster... a snow time disaster or anything like that, but it is meant to show people that we are here 365 days a year and we need their support 365 days a year," Kesselring says.
She says if you would like to donate, text 90999 and specify how much.
But the best way is send it to 220 Eighth Street in Parkersburg.
