The Veterans Museum of the Mid-Ohio Valley gets a facelift.
They wanted to make some changes since it's been the same for many years.
Director Gary Farris says they want to rotate displays and show more pieces that haven't been seen before.
The idea is to stagger the uniforms on the walls and add more stories.
"We tore out the old walls that were in the center and put these partitions up, which gave us more wall space," he says. "That's what it's all about is wall space to put this up, yet not be too crowded."
Farris says Home Depot had shampooers come in and clean all the carpets and supplied materials to give it a new coat of paint.
Domino's Pizza fed everyone who was hard at work, so it was definitely a community effort.
And this weekend is an open house at the museum.
Thank a Vietnam vet for their service and give them a hug.
