It's that time of year again to start thinking about helping others during the holidays, or receiving help for your family.
Starting October 14 the Salvation Army of Parkersburg will be taking applications for their Angel Tree Program.
This is for low income families during the holiday season who have kids 12 years old and younger and can't afford holiday presents.
By appointment only, families can come in and apply.
"They need to bring their photo ID, identification for them and both of the children and all the adults living in the household, income and expenses for the last 30 days, and bring out what the kids would like to have for Christmas as well as what their needs are," says Lt. Mechelle Henry, with the Parkersburg Salvation Army.
Families looking to buy for angel tree children this Christmas can do that starting November 1.
