If you're feeling a financial pinch this year and are interested in applying for the Salvation Army Christmas Program, you've got only one week to do so.
Beginning Monday, October 11th, the Fifth Street office will accept applications from 9 until noon and then again from 1 until 3 in the afternoon, through Friday, October 15th.
On Tuesday, October 12th, there will be an additional window to apply from 4 until 7 in the evening.
There are several things you'll need to bring with you:
--Social Security Cards for all members of the household
--Picture ID for all adults
--Medical Card or birth certificates for all children
--Proof of all monthly income (paycheck stubs, Social Security, SSI, child support, WV Works and or AFDC)
--Proof of all monthly expenses (rent/house payment, utilities, cable, phone, car payment, car insurance, charge card payments, etc.)
--A list of all children 12 & under pant size, shirt size, coat size and ideas about what your child/ren might want for Christmas.
