"We deal with social services year round so when people need assistance with utility bills and clothing, that is year round," explains Lt. Mechelle Henry. "We want to remind people that we are here when they need and we're open."

The lieutenants say they want to community to be a part of the Army's Mission.

"We want to make sure that people understand about the Salvation Army that we are a church first and underneath the umbrella of that we offer all these other great opportunities for people to come and feel a part of something," adds Lt. Erik Henry. "To be a part and be belonging to something."
