Thanking those who make safetytown possible.
The Marietta Noon Rotary Club kicked off the Samuel R. Cook Safetytown, Thursday morning.
Volunteers from across the valley were there celebrating this annual program of teaching kids how to stay accident-free.
"They learn all sorts of safety. Everything from pet safety to water safety and even safety around construction sites. They meet policemen and firemen and learn just all kinds of safety rules that are helpful in their lives to keep them safe," says Colleen Cook, Safetytown Co-Chair.
The club also presented service awards to men and women who have been with the program for five years or more.
Safetytown is celebrating its 35th year!
