Investigators believe the fire was caused by discarded smoking materials.

An early morning fire damages a Parkersburg home.
Around 7:40 Monday morning the Parkersburg Fire Department responded to a fire at this home on the 1700 block of 7th Street.
Traffic was shut down in the area for a short time, but should be re-opened.
Homeowner Tammy Bailey was there when the fire started, but escaped unharmed.
Officials say about $30,000 worth of damage was done.
No smoke detectors were found in the home.
"When we arrived we found the structure fire well involved. There was one female in the ambulance. She was evaluated by the Camden Clark ambulance service. We're unsure of the cause of this fire, but we'll be looking in this," says Chief Fire Investigator Captain Tim Flinn.
