One area elementary school wanted to make sure kids and parents got a taste of history Thursday evening.
Belpre Elementary had their annual Family Night.
Kids and parents throughout the community came out to learn a thing or two about the history behind the city.
Everyone got the chance to make homemade butter, play classic board games and enjoy free food and entertainment.
"We believe that we're trying to make a real effort by with engaging our community with the school, making that connection, that's why we have that family piece of it. So we want families to come in with their kids, an opportunity to come in the evening to and still do something educational but fun," says Belpre Elementary School Principal, Bernie Boice.
The school run two family nights every year as a part of their title program
