CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Keya Bartlett scored 26 points to lead Parkersburg South to a 58-34 win over Logan in the girls Class AAA championship game Saturday night.
Third-seeded Parkersburg South (20-7) adds to championships it won in 2008 and 2006.
Leading by eight at halftime, Parkersburg South put the game away with a 19-1 run spanning the third and fourth quarters. Bartlett scored 14 points in the third quarter.
Katelyn Byrd added 11 points for Parkersburg South.
Bartlett tied a Class AAA tournament records with seven 3-pointers, while teammate Taryn McCutcheon tied another record with 13 assists.
Fifth-seeded Logan (17-10) was in the championship game for the first time. Shayna Gore led the Wildcats with 12 points and freshman Monica Mitchell scored 11.
