The season of spring means a great time to make your community a better place.
And volunteers from ReStore Marietta put it into good use as they made their way downtown for the annual Clean Sweep event Saturday afternoon.
Volunteers took time out of their Saturday cleaning up litter, trimming hedges and mulching flower beds.
C-4 Central Business District, Harmar Village and portions of the bike trail from Ohio and Fourth Streets were among the downtown locations looking more beautiful.
ReStore Marietta is a non-profit organization focusing on four different points of downtown revitalization.
"One of those committees are design and it's all about how the downtown looks to guests, visitors and residents and we think it's a quality of life issue as far as recruiting and retaining residents, allowing the shoppers to get enough traffic and have an enjoyable shopping experience downtown," says ReStore Marietta Executive Director, Mallory Greenham.
If you didn't make it out to the Clean Sweep but would still like to help out, ReStore Marietta are accepting donations of garden tools and supplies.
All donations can be dropped off at the ReStore Marietta Main Office at 132 Putnam Street in Downtown Marietta.
