If you live in West Virginia there's a good chance you know all the words to the new state song.
The John Denver classic "Take Me Home, Country Roads" has long been called the unofficial anthem of the Mountain State but Friday it became official.
Lawmakers passed House Resolution 40 Friday afternoon, making the song the state's fourth official state song.
And lawmakers say it passed with flying colors.
"It's a song that is sung at the end of just about every Mountaineer football game," says Delegate John Ellem. "I think in the past we've gotten carried away by naming different state objects but this one I feel is kind of appropriate."
The idea to make the song an official song came about by Dreama Denver, widow of Bob Denver, known for his role as Gilligan, but no relation to John Denver.
