A ten year old boy is dead after being hit by a pickup truck in Mason County.
Police say it happened around 1:30 Sunday afternoon on Sandhill Road.
They say the boy ran in the street and was hit by a Chevy pickup truck. The truck was driven by James Richardson of Point Pleasant.
The boy was treated at the scene and taken to Pleasant Valley Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
His name is not being released at this time, as police are notifying his family.
There's no word if the driver will face charges and the sheriff's office say the accident is still under investigation.
