Testing, Testing...

Wood County's voting machines have had a look-over by the county commission.

That's with early voting beginning next week, for the May 8th primary.

The early vote begins April 25th...although on May first is when, for the first time, four community voting sites will open to the public.

"Any voter, any location, during early and community voting," said County Clerk Jamie Six. "Now, on election day, you'll have to go to your assigned precinct. But, until then, you can go to any of the five locations for early voting."

Any voter can go to any of the sites to cast their early ballot...including the Donald F. Black annex on Market Street.

The four new sites are the Williamstown and Vienna city buildings, and the Lubeck and Mineral Wells volunteer fire stations.
