It was a day full of health, safety and fun for kids in Washington County Sunday afternoon.
The Washington County Red Cross hosted its ninth annual Safety Day at East Muskingum Park.
Kids got a chance to see inside a police cruiser, ride on a fire truck and play some safety games.
Marietta Police and Fire Departments, Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Washington County Sheriff's Office were among the local organizations in attendance.
"We just think it's a good idea for the kids to get familiar with the different departments, the police departments, the sheriff's department, the patrol departments to make that they know that these are people that are here to help them," says Washington County Red Cross Executive Director, Sheri Schwartz.
The Safe Kids River Cities along with the Marietta Police Department provided free photo IDs for the kids.
Par Mar Oil Company sponsored this year's Safety Day.
