UPDATE: Man Pleads Guilty to Juliana Street Burglaries

Morgan Stuart was in court Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty to burglaries on Juliana Street.

His sentencing is set for late September.

He failed to make bond and remains in jail.

Three burglaries in two hours by one suspect.

Parkersburg Police first responded at 11:42 p.m. to the 1100 block of Juliana Street.

A homeowner reported seeing a man climb through her open window, causing her to scream, sending the man running. After questioning,. police located a surveillance video, showing the suspect in the neighborhood before the attempt.

At 12:30 a.m. police responded to a home on the 1000 block of Ann Street. That homeowner says the man rummaged through drawers and fled.

At 1:39 a.m. police responded to a third home on the 900 block of Juliana street, where the homeowner reported hearing someone inside, and then closing the rear door of the home.

Morgan Stuart was found in the area, gloves were found close to Stuart. When told he was under arrest, Stuart tried to run, but was immediately taken into custody.

Items were found on Stuart, linking him to all three homes. Evidence and surveillance are still under investigation. He failed to post his $75,000 bond. He is currently in the north central regional jail.
