A two car accident brought traffic to a stand still Thursday evening on Emerson Avenue.
It happened at the intersection of Old Ashby Ridge Road.
Police say a northbound Hyundai Elantra went left of center, hitting a southbound Chevy Equinox.
The Equinox came to a stop while the Elantra continued moving and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver of the Elantra was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was at a stand still for about an hour.
St. Joseph's EMT's and the Parkersburg Fire Department assisted with the crash.
The accident is still under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
