West Virginia State Police responded to a collision involving a tractor trailer and a car on I-77 Wednesday evening.
Troopers say it happened at the Emerson Avenue exit in the southbound lane.
A Honda CRV was traveling in the passing lane while the tractor trailer attempted to merge.
Both vehicles collided into each other causing the Honda to pull into the median.
The driver and passenger of the Honda were taken to Camden Clark Medical Center for treatment.
No word on their condition.
The driver of the tractor trailer meanwhile refused treatment.
"Just be aware of the blind sports on tractor trailers and be aware of the road construction here at this section of 77 and other parts of 77 where there is road construction. Just be aware of your surroundings," says West Virginia State Trooper First Class A.D. Wootton.
The Waverly Volunteer Fire Department along with the Camden Clark and St. Joseph's EMS were also there to assist.
