A two car accident Saturday afternoon in Meigs County sends two women to the hospital.
The Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says it happened around 2 p.m.
Investigators say Julia Stevens of Virginia was driving a Chevy SUV and crossed State Route 7 from County Road 22.
She was hit by a Ford Explorer driving northbound on Route 7. The Explorer rolled on impact. The driver, Virginia Hunter, sustained minor injuries and is being treated at an Athens hospital.
Stevens was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to Charleston General. Her condition is not known at this time.
Route 7 was closed for about 30 minutes as a result. The crash is under investigation.
