Parkersburg Police arrest two suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a local adult video store.

Investigators say 27-year-old William Douglas Shaffer of Parkersburg and 24-year-old Cory James Parmer of Mineral Wells were both arraigned Saturday morning on charges of aggravated robbery.

It happened around 12:20 a.m. at the Modern Adult store on Ohio Avenue.

Investigators say the suspects were armed with a knife when they removed an undisclosed amount of cash from two registers and took off on foot.

With the help of a description given by the store clerk, police located the two suspects near 19th and Beaver Streets about 20 minutes later.

Parkersburg Police Sgt. Greg Collins says Shaffer admitted to committing the crime and that he was the one carrying the knife.

The store clerk was not harmed.
