A two car accident in Washington County Monday afternoon sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.

It happened at the intersection of Blue Knob Road and Route 7 late Monday afternoon.

Ohio State Highway Patrol says a silver Honda driven by Alicia Harris failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck by the black Chevy Cavalier driven by Jonathan Arnold.

He was uninjured.

Harris on the other hand, was taken by Warren E.M.S. to Marietta Memorial Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.

She is charged with failure to yield at the stop sign.

Highway Patrol adds that Harris was not wearing her seatbelt.
