Two Women Seriously Injured in Single Car Accident

Parkersburg police say around 8 o'clock Monday night the driver of a blue Pontiac was going southbound on Pike Street when she went off the road and crashed into a culvert in front of Bob Evans.

The driver says the window fogged up and she was unable to see.

The driver and her female passenger were trapped inside the car. Parkersburg firefighters used the Jaws of Life to get them out.

Both women were taken to the hospital. Officials say one was unconscious and unresponsive.

The southbound lane was closed for about an hour. Names and injuries haven't been released.
