Christopher Cook, 21, and another suspect broke into a home on Byers Road on December 6th of last year.
They were planning to steal guns and money from the homeowner, Bernard Hurst. But, Hurst was able to fight them off before the burglars stole anything.
His stepson Timothy Ryan, 21, waited outside during the burglary. Ryan later admitted to organizing the break-in.
Now Ryan and Cook are charged with a first degree felony of aggravated burglary.
Ryan also faces burglary and safe-cracking charges for stealing from his grandmother's trailer.
He says he committed both crimes to support his heroin addiction.
Detectives are also searching for a person of interest in the Hurst home invasion. Jacob Rowe, 20, is believed to have information relating to the case.
If you know anything about Rowe's whereabouts call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 740- 376-7070 extension 0.
