Still searching, they want someone who is just right for the job.
The Warren School Board along with members of the community interviewed three candidates for superintendent last Saturday.
Warren School Board President, Sidney Brackenridge says when the school board separated to choose, it was a split decision.
Brackenridge says the board wants to hire someone they all 100% agree upon and this is a very important decision. He says this has not set them back too much in the progress of selecting a candidate because they are willing to wait to find someone that is right for the community.
"It's not as quick as we would like, we would like to have one candidate pop right out and be willing to go to work, but from the meeting itself, it's pretty obvious that the community would like to have someone that is educationally minded and be able to work with the community," said Brackenridge.
The board is now planning on talking to other school districts, board members, the local education service center and possibility the Ohio School Board Association in the search for the right candidate
Brackenridge says the board will start the process of looking around and meeting next week.
