Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks confirms the county is under a level II snow emergency.
He says roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow.
Under a level II emergency, only those who feel it is absolutely necessary to drive should be on the roadways.
You should contact your employer to see if you should report to work.
Sheriff Mincks adds, "the winter storm is expected to continue until around noon with a total accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. State, County, Township, and City Road crews are working diligently to clear the roadways. Please be careful when approaching or passing these vehicles."
