The Vienna Fire Department made sure everyone stayed cool Friday evening.
It's all part of their 76th annual Ice Cream Social.
It's a yearly tradition to support a community asset.
Combining games and ice cream to raise some money.
The fundraiser helps support unfunded mandates.
But this year has a second purpose, honoring late Fire Chief Danny Goodwin.
"It's unreal the way the city and the citizens support us. They take of us, they bake their pies and they have cake and everything else for us and come out to by their own ice cream stuff from them. It's just unbelievable the way the citizens take care of this fire department, we really appreciate it and we're out to help them," says Vienna Fire Chief, Steve Scholl.
Last year, the Vienna Fire Department raised between $13,000 and $14,000.
