A window is shot out of a full school bus in Athens.

A 12-year-old reportedly admits to the shooting.

The Athens County Sheriff's Office says it all happened Wednesday on Dairy Lane Drive in Athens.

Deputies say the back window was shot and broken on a city school bus.

They say the bus driver, Richard Evener and students saw three boys standing by the Redman Lodge area when they drove by, and they say one of them was holding what looked like a BB gun.

Evener says about 23 students were on the bus at the time.

No injuries were reported.

The sheriff's office says a 12-year-old boy told deputies he did fire a BB gun.

The case now is referred to juvenile court.
