A woman is bitten in the face by a Pit Bull. It happened in her own home in Parkersburg from a dog she knew well.
Police say early Saturday morning the 32 year old woman was bitten in her face and leg by a Pit Bull.
The dog is her roommate's and lives in the home with them on Reed Street. Police say the woman was flown to a Charleston hospital for facial reconstruction.
They also say they don't know what caused the dog to attack, but she was under the influence of narcotics.
The dog had a small cut on the top of his nose.
The humane society will follow-up on the case Monday to determine what will happen to the dog. Right now, the dog is still at the home.
Police say this investigation is pending.
