Third and fourth grade classes from Jefferson and Mineral Wells learned all about safety with hands on activities that they can practice in their homes.
Students learned how to climb out of a window safely if their home is one fire, the proper techniques of hand washing, and also when and how to call 9-1-1.
Janet Wigal, the events coordinator says, "we hope that they will take the message home to their parents and their siblings on everything that they've learned today. We have take home bags over here that they kids will get and there's safety information in the take home bags."
Students received first aid kits in the safety bags that they can use in case of an emergency at home.
