Work's starting on revamping a downtown Parkersburg building and turning it into a community space.
The old "FunderDome" building in front of Point Park is getting a facelift.
Progress is well underway for the new Point Park Market Square.
The building will be used to house the Farmers Market and other vendors.
While it's an ongoing project, the first stage is moving quickly.
"By the end of the summer, we'll have the new roof on all of it. We'll have the side patio, front patio as well, and at least half of the interior will be ready for vendors to move in if they wish," says Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell.
Eventually, a lookout point on the roof will be added as well as a possible restaurant.
