Workforce West Virginia Helps Those Looking for Jobs

By  |

Losing a job isn't easy, but Workforce West Virginia can help.

Jeff Noland, employment program manager at the local Parkersburg office says they have a huge database of employers looking for employees.

Companies contact them to refer people who are displaced or looking to change careers.

"It's very difficult, economic times are trying now for individuals and there are manufacturers that are closing, but as Workforce West Virginia we try to get their unemployment benefits to them," Noland says.

He adds that they maximize benefits according to the law as quickly as possible.

As soon as you find yourself jobless, you need to go in and sign up for unemployment.

They'll sign you up for job services at the same time.
