Charleston. W.Va. (AP) -- A nonprofit group says two West Virginia farmers markets rank among the top 20 favorites in the nation.

The Washington, D.C.-based American Farmland Trust says more than 800 farmers markets nationwide signed up to participate in the contest and voting was held from June to early August.

In the medium division, consisting of markets with 31 to 55 vendors, the Capitol Market in Charleston finished second to the Williamsburg Farmers Market in Virginia.

The Morgantown Farmers Market is ranked 16th.
