Warren, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities in ohio say a 6-year-old boy drowned during a Cub Scouts' backyard pool party.
Warren Township police Lt. Don Bishop says another swimmer found the boy at the bottom of the pool around 7 p.m. Saturday.
The child died at a hospital in Warren, about 50 miles southeast of Cleveland.
Bishop says the boy had been swimming with flotation devices earlier and it's unclear how he wound up back in the pool without them, because he was supposed to be getting dressed to leave the party.
Police say the child had taken his fifth swimming lesson earlier in the day.
The boy's name has not been released.
Police say 10 adults were at the pool party, including the Cub Scout pack leader and one of the boy's parents.
No charges have been filed.
