Mount Vernon, Ohio (AP) -- A sheriff in central Ohio says it's becoming more likely that three people who have been missing for a week are dead.

Knox County Sheriff David Barber said Wednesday that the investigation is progressing and search efforts continue for 32-year-old Tina Herrmann; Herrmann's 10-year-old son, Kody Maynard; and her 41-year-old friend, Stephanie Sprang. The three disappeared along with Herrmann's 13-year-old daughter, Sarah Maynard, who was found Sunday bound and gagged in the basement of a house about 10 miles from the family's home.

Barber says calls to a tip line have yielded some helpful information. He didn't say what the information was.

The girl was found alive in a home in Mount Vernon, about 40 miles north of Columbus. The man who lived at the house has been charged with kidnapping.
