(AP) Megan Williams is headed to Washington to talk about her alleged torture in Logan County.
According to Police, the 20-year-old black woman was tortured, beaten, raped and stabbed for days by six white men and women.
Despite Williams' wishes, prosecutors have not brought hate crime charges in the case.
On Wednesday, she is scheduled to meet with Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
According to Lee's Staffers, the Democratic Congresswoman is appalled at the nature of the crimes allegedly committed against Williams.
Williams also plans to meet with women's groups and sightsee in the Nation's Capital.
