Arcadia, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities in northwest Ohio were continuing
Monday to add up the damage left behind by three tornadoes and strong winds over the weekend.
They say its fortunate that no one was seriously injured or killed when the tornadoes touched down in the dark.
About 20 homes were destroyed in putnam and hancock counties.
Some residents slept through the sirens while others woke up with just enough time to seek shelter. Sirens sounded about 25 minutes before one of the tornadoes hit near Glandorf in Putnam County.
A Hancock County couple and their family made it to the basement just in time after their 11-year-old daughter woke up and heard the tornado warning on her bedroom radio.
