Two of Ohio's largest daily newspapers have endorsed Barack Obama in his Presidential race against John McCain.
The Dayton Daily News and The (Toledo) Blade announced their decisions in editorials published Sunday.
The Dayton paper describes both candidates as "thoughtful, modern people" alert to the problems of the world and the nation.
But it calls Democrat Obama the more promising leader and says Republican McCain has run a disappointing campaign offering virtually no vision of where he would take the country.
The Blade calls McCain "firmly rooted in the failed politics and policies of the past." by comparison, it says Obama is a "man of the future" who has shown during the campaign that he has the ability to inspire voters.
