Toronto (AP) -- A fugitive wanted by U.S. authorities for the past 11 years on two counts of attempted murder has been captured in Toronto.
Toronto police and the Canada Border Services Agency said Tuesday that they have arrested Chi Quang Du. Thirty-eight-year-old Du fled the United States after a 1997 knife attack on a man and woman at Wright State University near Dayton, Ohio.
Police believe he has been hiding in Canada ever since.
The arrest on Monday came after a tip was received from the television show "America's Most Wanted."
He is currently being held in custody pending a detention review and deportation hearing.
