Morgantown, W.Va. (AP) -- A committee charged with finding West Virginia University's next president has narrowed the field to 14.
Board of Governors Chairwoman Carolyn Long says the candidates' names won't be released because of recently adopted rules by the state's Higher Education Policy Commission.
Search Committee Chairman Gene Budig says interviews will be held off campus, and the committee won't advertise the interview times or locations.
The board hopes to begin on-campus interviews in March, with a selection made in April.
The position came open last year when mike garrison resigned over a degree scandal involving the Governor's daughter. Interim President Peter MaGrath has said he won't be a candidate for the full-time position.
