Report: Groups Have Plan for 4 Casinos in Ohio

Cleveland (AP) -- Two rival casino groups are working together on a proposal that would bring four resort-style casinos to Ohio.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported on its web site Wednesday that myohionow.com and Penn National Gaming Inc. are preparing a signature-gathering campaign in an effort to qualify the proposal for the November ballot.

Citing unnamed sources, The Plain Dealer says the casinos would be built in Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo and Cincinnati and would include hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues. The newspaper says Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and Cleveland businessman Jeff Jacobs are also behind the proposal.

Penn National Spent more than $45 million last fall to defeat myohionow.com's ballot initiative that would have placed a casino in southwest Ohio.
