Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio Governor Ted Strickland has received about 9,200 applications from government agencies, businesses and individuals seeking money from the federal stimulus package.

Streetcars for Cincinnati and new Toledo Zoo exhibits are among the thousands of projects hoping to get a share of Ohio's $8.2 billion in federal aid. The Ohio Department of Transportation lists about 600 projects.

Strickland says much of the money is going toward shoring up the state's budget.

Exactly who gets the remaining money is unclear because Strickland and the state legislature have not agreed on details of the selection process.

The applications from cities, schools, businesses and private individuals have been posted on a web site.
