Alexandria, Va. (AP) -- A West Virginia school teacher faces up to 10 years in prison and must register as a sex offender following his guilty plea to a federal charge of sexual enticement of a minor.

Shepherdstown Elementary School art teacher Douglas E. Hunt was arrested in December after he was caught in an internet sex sting conducted by police in Leesburg, Va.

Acting U.S. Attorney Dana Boente's office said Hunt agreed to pay $220 for what he thought would be sex with two girls, ages 12 and 13. He was arrested at a Leesburg hotel.

In addition to facing jail time, Hunt must serve five years probation and surrender any teaching licenses he holds in West Virginia or any other state.

Hunt's sentencing is set for May 22.
