Morgantown, W.Va. (AP) -- The President of City College of New York and the Provost of Maryland's Towson University are the finalists for the top job at West Virginia University.
The university's search committee announced the names late Monday.
Gregory H. Williams has been President of City College since 2001, and the school's web site says enrollment has since grown 50 percent to about 15,000 students. He'll be in Morgantown Wednesday.
James Clements, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Maryland's Towson University, has taught there since 1989. He'll be in Morgantown Thursday.
WVU hopes to choose a President April 3. Mike Garrison resigned last summer over a master's degree scandal involving the governor's daughter.
